He is a very versatile horse, with his cow breeding he is great in the cutting pen, I show him for my own pleasure as a hobby, he is a lot of fun and does well, he is alive and animated when trail riding, I ride him in the mountains in the lead pulling a pack string and carrying my Jack Russel, he never gets bothered by the rope under his tail or around his butt or between his legs, or I pack him and pig a pack string on him, he is always well mannered and never kicks, he will cross any form of water, bridges, logs, down fall rough terrain, he is strong climbing steep mountains and doesn't jump or lunge up. I can put my slicker on or eat lunch, or dig things out of my saddle bags while riding him, I can ride him with a big tarp flying over my head at a lope and he never blinks an eye about it, he rides double, he lays down on command, you can pack anything on him, he hobbles and high lines, stays in an electric portable fence in the mountains when camping. Pepper has been roped on some, trailed lots of cattle, gathered buffalo, team penned, he spins, changes leads, backs, side passes, half passes, has a good stop, lopes real slow, or has lots of controlable speed if you want it, opens and closes gates great, have used him a lot to get green colts used to things above them like slickers, flags, tarps, etc., he is quiet and will get in close to the colt so it is easy for me to handle them and because he is so relaxed it puts the green one at ease faster. Pepper is a great horse you will fall in love with!!! Come ride him and see for your self. |
