Rocky Mountain School:

As a former student of Rocky Mountain School, I would like to recommend them to anyone interested in getting started in the guiding industry.

Phil and Debbie Page run an excellent school where you will be taught the essential skills every guide must know. They are very knowledgeable about guiding and horsemanship. They taught us in an easy to understand and patient manner. They took the time to make sure everyone could perform the various tasks. At the beginning of the school I was unfamiliar with livestock and packing techniques. By the end of school I was confident handling horses and knew I could pack whatever I would need to.

Currently I am looking forward to my second season working in Alaska. The knowledge I gained at Rocky Mountain School certainly helped me during the past year, and I know I will continuously use the skills and techniques that were taught me.
